Available in silver or silverless versions, no fluxes are required when used on copper. The fluxes are required when working on brass and bronze. They are available as rods, wires, rings and preforms, powders and pastes. At least two important characteristics must be underlined: the first, these alloys are generally resistant to corrosion except for exposure to Sulphur, especially at high temperatures. The second: it is important to remember that these alloys must not be used on ferrous materials, nickel alloys or copper alloys (if they have more than 10% of nickel), as they could generate brittle intermetallic phases.
