Adhesive sealant KD FLEX 20
The low modulus adhesive sealant based on hybrid polymers for highly flexible joints.
* Product in compliance with UNI 11673.
Suitable for:
* Metal (eg. Steel, aluminum, copper)
* Wood (eg. Wooden beams and panels)
* Glass
* Ceramics
* Plastics (eg. PVC, see exceptions)
* Insulating panels (eg. Polystyrene)
* Masonry with and without plaster
* Concrete (normal, lightweight and cellular)
* Stone (we recommend preliminary tests)
* Gypsum (eg. Plasterboard, gypsum fiber)
Not suitable for:
* Plastics (PE, PP, PTFE - PTFE)
* Silicone and Bituminous substrates
Advantages:
* CE marked for sealing of facades (inside and / or outside) and internal pedestrian pavements and / or external.
* Permanently elastic, does not contain air bubbles.It absorbs noise and vibrations.
* Adheres to damp surfaces. Resists under water (not constant).
* Good resistance to chemicals and UV rays.
* In extreme radiation conditions KD FLEX 20 White could change color.
* Do not smell and does not contain isocyanates or silicones. Not corrosive.
* The product is paintable.
* Carry out a preliminary test to assess the compatibility with the paint.
Applications:
* Sealing of joints subjected to high dilations, also on damp substrates
* Sealing of sheet metal and parts of roofs
* Sealing of windows and doors
* Elastic bonding in buildings and plant
* Closing for body parts subject to high motion and vibration
* Sealing floor joints in indoor and outdoor environments
* Do not use in contact with chlorides
Function:
* Clean and degrease the surfaces before applying the product.
* In order to ensure the absorption of the movements of the joint must observe the correct ratio between width and depth of the joint: for wide joints ≤10mm the correct ratio is 1: 1.
* For wide joints> 10mm depth should be width = / 3 + 6mm.
* We recommend the use of the fund joint Fischer FG to fill the bottom of the joint before moving to the sealing.
* Apply the adhesive tape on the edge of the joint and apply the product in the same.
* Leveling with a spatula.
* Remove the tape.
* The fresh adhesive can be removed with the PUR500 cleaner, with SAL70 wipes or with acetone.
