Complete Catalogue of Tesa lever dial test indicators

Mechanical and electronic lever-type dial test indicators are essential tools both for workshops and inspection rooms. They allow to measure a relative displacement or a difference in height or length when it is not possible to use a plunger dial gauge due to lack of space. They are ideally suited for comparative measurements, for instance on a surface plate and allow to detect form and position deviations, especially axial and radial runout errors. They are mainly used to position workpieces on machine tools and flat surfaces or for comparisons of small measuring ranges.

Typical applications include the alignment of a flat surface with the X or Y axis of a machine or of a bore axis such as that of a spindle.

They are often mounted on adjustable stands, either by the Ø4mm stem or by the dovetail clamping.

The range of TESA analogue lever-type test indicators includes two families:

TESATAST, with reduced measuring span, available in three different models:

-standard (with dial face parallel to the axis of the measuring insert);

-perpendicular (with dial face mounted at right angle to the axis of the measuring insert);

-lateral (with dial face mounted parallel to the axis of the measuring insert, but on the flat side of the dial housing).

and INTERAPID 312, with large measuring span, available in standard and perpendicular models.

All these instruments are characterized by:

-bidirectional measuring with automatic reversal inside the movement;

-error-free reading thanks to the continuous clockwise pointer rotation in both measuring directions;

-long lifespan thanks to the shockproof system; insensitive to magnetic fields;

-high precision jewelled movement with rubies and very low measuring force;

-ball bearing lever system, with swivelling measuring insert;

-full metal construction for a great robustness;

-rotating dial.

The INTERAPID 312 models differ from conventional lever-type test indicators as they are the only ones on the market designed to give a true reading when the angle of attack is 12°. This technical advantage allows users to see the true value without correcting the read value. They are often used to position workpieces to be machined in a machine tool; the reference point is defined by finding the centre of the bore. For instance, they offer great flexibility of use to align the spindle of a machine tool to the centre of a bore.

Their large measuring range of 1,6 mm is ideal for checking on significant dimensional deviations.

The range is completed by two IP65 electronic models and by a wide choice of accessories to meet the most varied application needs, including, among others, several measuring inserts with ball tips in steel, carbide or ruby of various lengths and diameters, as well as swivel, angular and centering holders, fixing shanks, clamping attachments and reducing sleeves.
